Always Home

ABOUT
My name is April Dosie – Diggs and I credit much of my success in life to my father, Robert Dosie’s words… “Baby Girl, you can always come home”. My parents taught and prepared me to be successful. I learned resilience, values, and work ethic from them. Knowing that I could always come home was not something that kept me from succeeding, it was a comfort to know that someone cared enough to always have my back. He was not saying it because he did not believe in me. He said because he loved me and wanted me to know that I was never alone. I knew my father believed in me and it helped me to believe in myself.
The purpose of the Always Home project is to provide a safe and loving, nurturing, equipping atmosphere where foster students who may feel that all hope is gone on becoming a part of a family can receive a permanent family that is forever growing, and they can be connected to for life. Always Home will provide each student with the tools for success by appealing to their mental, physical, spiritual, and financial needs – reshaping and/or cultivating the mindset of each student to be confident that they can achieve anything they set their mind to do and that they never have to do it alone.
We are a 501(c)(3) and able to receive tax deductible donations under the IRC 170(b)(1)(A)(vi) EIN 87-3914713
